Using MetaboxUI from the command line with WP-CLI

The following commands are provided for convenience and should only be used if you understand how WP-CLI works. These commands refer to a single WordPress instance and may need to be modified if you are working with a Multisite installation.

How to install MetaboxUI from the command line with WP-CLI

Navigate to the root of your WordPress installation and type the following command:

wp plugin install optiontree-metabox-ui

How to activate MetaboxUI from the command line with WP-CLI

To immediately activate MetaboxUI after WP-CLI downloads the latest version you can use the following command:

wp plugin install optiontree-metabox-ui --activate

How to reinstall MetaboxUI from the command line with WP-CLI

To force a reinstallation of MetaboxUI which overwrites the current plugin without asking for confirmation you can use the following command:

wp plugin install optiontree-metabox-ui --force

How to update MetaboxUI to the latest version from the command line with WP-CLI

About our testing enviroment

Tests were conducted using Apache 2.4.29, PHP 7.2 on Ubuntu 18.04, MySQL 5.7.33 and WordPress 5.9

It is very possible that different versions of PHP such as PHP 8.0, PHP 7.4, or PHP 7.3 could behave differently with MetaboxUI. Different versions of WordPress could implement the features of this plugin in slightly different ways as well.
